1. To promote awareness among students about the various types of disasters, their adverse impacts and the need for a Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Plan in every postal administration. 2. To impart the necessary skills and knowledge on best practices and industry standard procedures (e.g. DRM products and tools) to deal with disasters. 3. To enable students to develop DRM Plans for specific hazards and for their own countries.
Supervisors/assistant supervisors of headquarters (administrative offices) and field units (operational office), instructors, course developers.
Minimum of 10 or 12 years of formal education and 5 years of experience working in headquarters or an operational office.
