To deepen the understanding of how and why the UPU S58 and S59 security standards were developed, to provide information on the minimum requirements for physical security and the processes to be included, such as establishing a postal security unit, developing and implementing security awareness programmes, compliance audits and the fundamental concepts of disaster recovery and risk management. To provide information on the minimum requirements for mail inspection, the criteria for defining high-risk items and the resolution of alerts for suspicious items.
The advanced security certification course is intended for people working in the areas of postal security and disaster risk management, as well as for those responsible for preparing the essential facilities of their designated operators for UPU S58 and S59 security certification.
